Library cards are available free of charge to all residents of Wood, Franklin and Hopkins county with picture identification displaying a current address. If the identification is not current, we will accept proof of address in the form of a utility bill, auto insurance, lease agreement, etc. with both name and address printed on the document in addition to the non-current identification. 

Individuals under the age of 18 may also register for a library card, however they must be accompanied by a current library cardholder in good standing. The accompanying adult (18 or older) must be a parent, grandparent, guardian or person willing to take responsibility for the individual.

All cards expire two years from the date of registration and can be renewed by confirming current address, phone number and email address. 

LOAN POLICY

• Adult accounts in good standing may check out up to 12 items and juvenile accounts in good standing may check out up to 6 items
• DVD loan period: 3 days
• All other items: 14 days

RENEW ITEMS

• Items may be renewed online, in person or over the phone.
• Items may be renewed up 2 times for an additional 2 weeks per renewal. 
• DVDs may be renewed up to 2 times for an additional 3 days per renewal.
• An item may not be renewed if it is on hold for another patron

LATE FEES

Gilbreath Memorial Library does not charge a fee for overdue items, however account holders may still be assessed fees in the event of a lost or damaged item. Overdue items are marked as "lost" after 30 days. A refund is automatically issued once a "lost" item is returned (undamaged) and is checked in by library staff.
